KG Peiper, Panther 202

Here is another Panther … #202 I startet right after #215 and forgot to post.

Panther #202 was one of a few Panthers which utilised existing Zimmerit coated turrets on a later produced “plain” hull.

Here the original tank left behind in La Gleize:

The camo scheme I followed is from the excellent book “PANTHER - External Appearance & Design Changes”

Here we go….

I used ATAK Zimmerit and it fitted quite good on the DRAGON model. The Brown chosen is more on the “darker” side and as the Green & Sand tone individually mixed with TAMIYA acrylics.

The book states and the fotos seem to confirm the the spare tracks mounted to the hull were also camouflaged. Probably not too visual is that I modified the Brown & Green tone a little from the base tones. I used metal tracks on this model this time.

Excellent job on the Panther. The camo job cans great. I like the addition of the figures, nicely done. Are they wearing the U -Boat leathers? Again excellent job!

Thank you !

They are wearing the U-Boot uniforms …. these 2 excellent figures are from ARTO, they offer quite a variety of German “Ardennes” soldiers in the program.
