News from The Tank Museum, they are going to restore their King Tiger Versuchs 2 to running condition with the original engine block (some parts are missing). They expect 4 years and £1M to get this done.

It seems like the Museum could find a more efficient use of a million pounds than making an unreliable tank run. On top of that they will probably keep it out of public view most of the time with the rest of the running vehicles. How many running vehicles which would be easier to maintain could be bought for a quarter of that? Don’t get me wrong I look forward to seeing it run but I don’t think it’s the right choice.
