Based on the photos, and like the other versions done by KM, the Brach Model kit is still the better of the two. The Pak40 gun barrel looks very unusual in these photos - it appears to be too slender, and the muzzle brake is unlike any I’ve every seen.

Thanks for the review. Still an elusive halftrack, would love to do the original French vehicle. Would be thrilled if we see this in styrene.

Still one of my favorite vehicles from Normandy. I think these are considered the first German AFV’s in combat on D-Day, right? Pegasus Bridge/Benouville Counterattack?

I’ll definitely grab one of these. Pack it full off the new RT Diorama 3D printed oak branches, make a hedge and surround it with grenadiers in sumpfmuster 43/44 smocks and splinter zeltbahns.

Yes Jon, I see what u mean now about the barrel and muzzle break…
Yes Nate, good reference to confirm the sumpfmuster smocks used by the crews in the book too.

These vehicles have always fascinated me. It’s nice to see them available now. Does anyone know the cost and a distributer in the US?

They have a web shop here , although everything is in Polish -including the price.

You can try sending them an e-mail or through Facebook (https://kmmodel.pl/kontakt/), I have been able to communicate with them in English without problems.

What do you mean by available now? As noted in my post above, Brach has had a kit of this vehicle, as well as other German conversions of the Somua MCG for many years. DES also does other German conversion of the Somua MCL, so most of these vehicles have been available for quite some time.
