If they build it, I will buy it. I really like these Meng Kuebelwagens. This one is especially appealing to me because I am really interested in the North Africa Theater of Operations.
It’s going to need some detailing to be accurate. Marseille caught up with his squadron in Africa on 21 April 1941; by that time, Rommel had already taken the surrender of Major General Michael Gambier-Parry, from whom he had obtained the pair of British-issue goggles (technically ‘anti-gas eyeshields’) that he made part of his normal uniform; the figure as displayed doesn’t have the goggles pushed up on his cap, although it does have the scarf his daughter sent him. Yes, it’s a nitpicky detail, but…

What version of the 109 did Marseille fly ?
Somewhere buried in my stash I have the Border 1/35th bf109. I could see a diorama with those kits in the future.
Tom, Marseille flew various “Friedrich”, most of them markes as “Yellow 14”. I have built his last, a F-4 some time ago. Though this is in 1/48, the kit is from Eduard. His flight goggles are also missing …

Otto was an early production machine (no jack hole, short rear mudguards, different exhaust pots, narrow engine pan, etc), so here Meng got a bit lost and there’s extra work to do to portray correctly Marseille’s Kübel.
