Can anyone suggest a good resource for photos of the Land Rover Series 3 109 Ambulance?
I have found several photos of restored examples, but these often show non-standard features.
Thanks,
Paul

Check warwheels.
Robert,
Yes, I have checked there, but virtually nothing on this particular version.

Well, if I’m ever short of kit details sometimes, by sheer quirk of lateral thinking (not often one of my salient traits) I dip into the 1:24 range by Kit Form Services; for instance, I have a couple of 1:35 Austin Champs in the stash, and wish to depict one of them as the 106mm recoilless gun- equipped airborne version. Details? Go to KFS and have a look at their superb model.
Now, I don’t know what details you’re looking for but KFS do a Series 2A Land Rover Ambulance, and it looks like a beauty. The ambulance body and contents/layout would remain the same (depending on time scale up to a point) whereas the cab is just the cab.Whether or not if provides what you’re after I don’t know, but it must be a start I would have thought.
See:
British Army RAMC Series 2A Ambulance (4x4 Truck) - 1/24th Scale - KFS – Kit Form Services Ltd
And for a taster:
Filched from their site - I’m sure they won’t mind too much(!)
Thanks to you both for your helpful responses.
It’s odd that there appear to be no reference photos of the ‘Series III Ambulance’ in service.

Here are some walkaround pics of a Dutch one. Don’t know how much it differs from a British Army one though (LHD aside… )

Bearing mind we would of had LHD ones in BAOR, they would be very very similar… main difference I can see is the indicator type lights on top of the front wings.
