Land Rover Vigilant

In 1956 vickers as a private venture set about developing an ATGM . Wire guided and man portable it also lent itself to vehicle mounting latterly the Ferret Armoured car .The system was also fitted to various land rovers initially as a carrier and eventually a fully fled fire system.with the advent of SMM set a germ of an idea developed.

I needed to make a few alterations to the seat base of the pink panther so a little cutting a scratch building required.

The different kit parts were a little tricky to get to fit with each other but some work with a file and knife provided the desired result..as with most of my land rovers of this era I gave the underside a little stipple of Ak texture paste the underside of early British land rovers had a rough underseal applied to them it also helps depict the build up of grime ..

Love me a Landy as well.

Following with interest as to how this builds out as I’ve got the old

Esci 109 Paratroopers in 1:24 in the stash.

That, and anything carried by mobile Inf that can take out armor is always of interest.

Cheers

Dave🙂

I never even knew there was L/R borne version of this. Some serious kitbashing being done.
