Hi, I really like LARC V and want to know was he used in combat zones (Gulf wars, Lybia etc.) I know that he was largely used in Vietnam.
Argentina used theirs in the Falklands War. Not sure, but I expect they are the earlier type than the kit you show.
They’re in use with Navy Beachmaster Units BMU 1 (West Coast) and BMU 2 (East Coast), there is a Beachmaster detachment with 25 personnel attached to each Amphibious Ready Group for surf zone salvage operations and beach traffic control during amphibious operations. I’m not sure about their use in combat by the US, but they have been used in the various training exercises the Marine MEUs participate in on deployment.
