Large Mörser Karl dio. “Ziu Vor” Completed

WOW!, that is one large and impressive base Erwin, :+1: :slightly_smiling_face:. How many figures do you imagine populating the finished article?

G .

I’ve been thinking over that, but the spilling of the water would wash away all grime, wouldn’t it?

About 20 figures

As I said, I’m certainly no expert Erwin, so you could well be right…so ignore me,.

Twenty figures, I admire your stamina, I struggle with one…as well you know, :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.

It’ll certainly make for a very impressive layout, :+1: :slightly_smiling_face:.

G .

I never ignore you! I’m always happy if people take the time to think with me and do suggestions. So please keep them coming!

The figures’ faces are all done and the uniforms got their base colors. Now it is a case of pressing on…

Impressive line-up Erwin, :+1: :slightly_smiling_face:.

Cheers. Just spend a couple of hours adding lowlights. I don’t know what happened, but the base coat was a helluva sloppy job. On more than a few occasions I will have to corrective action on hands and faces :pensive:

Hi Erwin it looks amazing and I think it should be nice with a staff car and some figures.
Or maybe a truck unloading equipment but it might be too much

Thanks for the kind words…

There will be a 2 of figs from a propaganda kompagnie (I will re-purpose no 3 for something different), so the car will be their wheels…

Just my thought, maybe a motorcycle escort? Wayne

Nice idea. There is not much space, but it will be a nice addition…

The gap between the the floor of the flat wagon and the platform is a bit too high for my taste, and after some debate in another topic, I decided to make a ramp out of beams. I had only a fragment of a movie from the NVA, out of which I took 2 Screenshots, as guidance. My thoughts are that the method of making such a ramp would not have changed very much in the meantime, so I did some guessing and constructed a ramp and connected the beams with copper wire. The top layer will be connected with the lower parts in a similar way, but only after painting the lower parts first.

Fantastic work here - I especially like the way the dio combines armor with artillery and then with railroading as well!

Edit ~ and I need to add “softskins” as well!

Thanks you Michael… I will add a Horch and possibly (when I find a suitable one with driver) a motor escort too…

Cool stuff and great attention to detail here.

Thanks. I actually made 2 of them. The wiring business is the most time consuming…
