Happy to learn every day … In the instructions of the 1/16 Trumpeter 0945 ( so called) LATE Tiger I , in step 51 they ask you to install these 2 red circled items that have to be added to the hull deck.

After reading all the justifiable comments on the TRUMP 0945 kit I have the tendency to NOT believe anymore everything that is shown in their instructions (or available in the 0945 kit).
Which leads me to this question : Anybody knows what these 2 devices are ?
I think you made a mistake. These are the mounting for the hatches swing mounts. If you look closer, you can see that the parts are installed on the INSIDE.
Thanks for responding. Now I get it : The pictures show the hatch hinges UNDER the Hull deck. Because it’s transparent I had the impression that they are installed ON the deck. That’s why the hinge contact faces make such a blurry impression on the underside of the deck. Have to get new inspiration to look at a tank with a transparent hull deck. Or in my case : “not at all” because I never bought the 0945 kit. Nor will I do that in the future…
Ouch, I can see why it was misleading - those parallel dotted-line arrows should’ve been drawn going under the plate, not seemingly on top of it. And if there were locating holes underneath, probably semi-invisible because it’s a transparent plate.
Potentially evidence that the manufacturer didn’t employ a competent test-builder before release to iron out glitches like that. Don’t get me started
They have flipped the top deck over for the fitting directions as the radio equipment appears on top of the deck. I feel your pain it is very misleading thank you for highlighting it. I have one in my stash so would of scratched my head too.
