I want to add some figures to a scene depicting an Sd.Kfz.243/2 Puma in Hungary, in March
1944. These will represent Heer troops, rather than Waffen SS. They will be wearing camouflage
smocks over standard uniform, and I am trying to work out what would be an appropriate
pattern. Evidently, this would be different from the pattern worn by SS troops.

I am sorr,y, just a quick remark: you possibly meant March of 1945, as Soviet troops entered Hungary only in August 1944 and Germany occupied the country in October, then Operation Spring Awakening (which you possibly want to represent with the Puma) came in early Sping of 1945 after the fall of Budapest.

Yes, I did that after asking my question. In fact, the correct pattern would have been ‘splittertarnmuster’. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t make the mistake of using a pattern that was exclusively Waffen SS, as mine will be Heer troops.
