Leclerc Tank queries

I have a 1/72-scale kit of the Leclerc T5 tank (Revell), and wonder what would be required to convert this to the current version of the tank.
I notice that the turret is now fitted with a large rectangular box, with what appear to be a series of louvres on the upper surface (as marked in the first image). Is this an air conditioning unit?
Also, current French vehicles (when on exercise) are often fitted with three-colour camo sheets (as shown in the second image). Am I correct in thinking that these would not be in place over the afore-mentioned box (if indeed this is an A/C unit)?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Blast Models do a conversion set to update the Revell kit. I haven’t seen it, but their products usually come recommended.

It’s indeed an A/C unit

Systemic & Frenchy,
Thanks for your responses … most helpful.
Am I correct in thinking that the camo sheet would not cover the A/C unit vents?

Paul

I guess so…
