LF Legend 1/35 IDF Centurion Stowage Set

Hi!

I’m looking to buy this Legend stowage set from somebody preferably in the US. Thanks!

I have three of those sets - I helped Lee design it. But here’s the thing - they were free. I would not have paid for them at today’s prices. There are few things in the set you can’t source from other kits, or make yourself. The duffel bags are great, but I can’t recall any photos where they’re strapped on to a Sho’t Kal.

The hardest thing to acquire (because nothing else compares to it) is the rolled up tarp on the left hand turret bin. Now I’ve done this myself a few times, and that was back in the nineties before I really even knew what I was doing, so it can’t be that hard. I’m happy with it.

Other side for good measure:

Boxes (like the one in the IR light stowage bin) are an easy scratchbuild as well:

Hi! I was planning to try and make the rolled up tarps on the turret myself if I wasn’t able to get the stowage set, I’m glad to hear that it isn’t so difficult.

Thanks for the insight!

I’ve made the rolled up tarps myself, not hard to do, as Robert said. I’ve used the Legends set as well, nicely done parts and they fit too.

The Legends sets appear frequently on eBay, in the US. If you see it in China, chances are it’s a knock-off.

Yeah I think I’ll just make my own stowage, I’d buy one but I’m dreading the though of paying 40+ dollars for stowage :fearful:

During the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, a lot of the stuff on a Sho’t would have been either US-sourced or a locally produced duplicate. I use a lot of stuff out of kits, stuff that usually gets thrown in the spares box anyway. The tarp in the bag is the only thing really unique to the IDF.
