Not my normal fare at all. Picked this kit up on a jaunt to Cumbria. With memories of the old Airfix kit, I thought this would be fun and a sort of present for my wife. How wrong can you be!? This is a bear of a kit, I don’t know how MiniArt get their reputation; this kit has all the traits I hate and normally try to avoid! Poor or no locations for parts on assembly, tiny and probably unnecessary PE bits and a myriad of small parts. I won’t be touching the other MiniArt kits in my stash for a while after this! There is almost as much glue as plastic in the finished item, as it was definitely one step forward, two back for most of the construction. However, finished it does look OK. The bonnet looks a bit odd because I left it loose so you can see the engine and the fire extinguisher hasn’t been added yet because I am still working on the “crew”.
Jacksons in Wigton? I mail order from them when they have something Hannants doesn’t…

Beautiful bus. Very well done.

It has turned out really nice. I must say it even looks a tricky kit but you have made the very best of it I think.
Good looking bus @Hohenstaufen .
Good job.
The top railings just about made me crazy.
Miniart kits are fiddly and have a few too many parts but I some how enjoy them.
After my first one I purchased a good pair of flush cut nippers and a JLC mini saw.
Those 2 items are game changers for these kits.
Excellent job of persevering and surviving to to tell the tale.
Can’t remember. The shop was in an old chapel as I recall. It was packed full of stuff.
Turned out well despite the problems. It’s a challenging kit looking at it.
A few Christmases ago my partner bought me the RNAS armoured lorry that uses the same chassis and cab from this kit. It’s scares the heck out of me! Some parts were broken, in particular control rods (would replace those with wire anyway) and the drivers step was totally mis-moulded. It put me right off getting the Army bus. Still have the last issue of the Airfix. I have a cunning plan in mind for that one (if you get the reference).
