Long Range Desert Group

Wow, that is an extraordinary jeep. It looks spectacular with the Cauntner camouflage.

I’ll keep a close watch on this project of yours. As I’ve decide what I’m going to spend my final years modeling, the North African campaign will be a major topic, and the SAS in Long Range Desert Group will be two focus points.

Thank you for those kind words. I´m really enjoying building vehicles from SAS and LRDG, and if you will focus on North Africa you should get some of Thunder Models LRDG trucks. They look amazing.

The old Tamiya kit is so far a very easy build. It is an advantage that it can be built as three separate parts: Cab, cargo bed and frame. It makes both building and painting easier. The Black Dog stowage also look very good and only needed minor adjustments to fit.

«Pimped» the dashboard a bit with some PE. I´m especially happy with the wind screens. They look so much better than the original ones.

Wonderful job on the Jeep and figures. I can’t wait to see the truck.

Looks good.
Good work on the camel and rider.
Looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

I’ve got a those two set aside for a WW1 ANZAC Ford T diorama. Planning on making him one of the Arab rebels and giving him a captured Turkish rifle.
