Looking At The ICM 1914 Taxicab

I note that it has black tires with a tread on them. Wouldn’t that have been anachronistic for 1914? I thought automobiles still had white tires in that era.

I took a picture of one of those cars in a museum in Stavelot. It has black tires, but by the looks of them, I recon they have been put on later…
