Looking for a Jeep crew

For a planned build, I look for figures of a Swiss Army M38A1 jeep. Since no Swiss figures are available, I look for for a US Army jeep crew. Any suggestions?

Most US Army Jeep crew figures in 1/35 are in WWII uniforms…. M1941 field jackets, canvas leggings, etc. I presume Swiss uniforms would be something more like post WWII US uniforms with a M1943 field jacket and combat boots?

Correct. But I think I can redo the uniforms myself. At least Hornet has a set of Swiss combat helmets.

I didn’t know that - amazing - the Hornet Heads I mean.

Plenty of Jeep crews within Miniart I believe. Modifications as already identified, clearly needed, but the Swiss personal weapons are interesting; how do you plan to tackle those?

Hi Brian, I have to go into thinking first. It depends which type of uniform I need. I build handguns from scratch recently, so a Sturmgewehr 57 should be possible. But first I have to get the M38A1C kit.

When I was in Switzerland, I bought me a combat jacket in TAZ 57 pattern a.k.a. Alpenflage. So a start is done.

Well, it will all certainly look interesting; I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything Swiss on the display tables before!

The mix of camouflage uniforms and noticeably very different weapons will make it all fascinating.

Bronco makes this very relaxed looking WWll US jeep crew:

Brian,

this is what I plan to build, more ore less…..

The images are from “ Militärfahrzeuge der Schweizer Armee”

Swiss had also some trucks from Ford Canada.

Can anyone identify the type? And is it available in 1/35 scale?

TAZ 57 was a very versatile uniform with everything stowed into uniform pockets.
