There are a series of photos of Otto Carious and his tank taken after the battle in the Russian village, about 6 or 7 photos. I have seen them in larger formats so detail was easier to see. Does anyone have them or have a link to them? The below photos are from that series.
Bump up.
I have seen some of the photos in his book Tigers in the Mud. As far as a link I have no idea if I happen to come across one, I shall let you Know.
The photos were all taken at the same place and time. There is a view of most of the left side of the tank and more shots of the front. It shows there are no turret numbers on the side. I was interested in any identifying characteristics such as bent fenders and damaged zimm.
Hate to sound like a jerk, but his name is Carius. You might have better luck finding images, if you use the correct spelling. The middle image you used is a screen capture from the Wochenschau.

Thanks for the spelling tip and the video. We discussed that there were no turret numbers because one of the photo’s showed the side of the turret and it was apparent there were no numbers. I do not recall if there were no track links on the turret. There are more photo’s out there
That photo posted above, with 5 men standing and a white-jacketed man in the Tiger…
…has absolutely nothing to do with Otto Carius.
