Don’t forget 1/48th. Airfix Land Rover Snatch if you can still find it and easily converted into Tangi and less easily into a Shorland. The RUC also had some really vehicles over the years and there is a really good book; Armoured and Heavy Vehicles of the RUC 1922-2001 by David Dunne. Figures then need a little less detail.
I also have a stash suitable aircraft kits in 1/48th for the era; Beaver, Sioux, Islander, Wessex, Lynx, Gazelle, Chinook and a Seaking to be a Commando. The only one that it appears the does not exist is a 1/48 Scout.
Dragons SAS/HKSDU sets included both a 3-hole and single slot balclava head that might be usable.
