I have one in the stash so might look at getting a set of these.
The old Matchbox 1/76 LRDG set is another kit worth looking for. Small scale but it does feature an early and rare weapon fit of the Vickers .50cal. Essentially a scaled up water cooled .303 heavy machine gun.
Talk about timing, Ian at Forgotten Weapons has just released a new video on the Browning .303.
Might be of interest, especially on some of the Identifying features.
While this one has been modified for ground firing, I donât think itâs set up quite the same was as the LRDG guns. This is a professional and well built modification, not a field workshop mod. But does illustrate how easily it could be done.
