This really is something different... Mantis doesn't disappoint with their new 1/35 scale figure set.
I have a 1/87 mini of the VW “Follow Me” vehicle. Need one in the Lufthansa livery though.
And I’m looking at those white coveralls and thinking “fifteen minutes, max…”
Right. I have an old VW mechanics jumper and it is a dark blue in color, which hides oil and grease pretty well even at a short distance.
However, when I was a fry cook in a chicken joint, my uniform was a yellow shirt and white pants. I had to go in the cooler and drag out whole and parted chicken out of boxes of ice, as well as livers and gizzards. We also served fish and shrimp (Florida Gulf Coast). Then I was dropping those parts in bins of flour and seasoning. If you wanted to sell food you didn’t want me walking out into the dining area.
Similar to that, despite the widely-held perception that the US Navy’s ‘blueberry’ digital fatigues were designed to make a sailor disappear against the water if they fell overboard, the official position was that (ignoring the “me too” fixation of wanting to have a digital camo uniform like the Army and Marines) it was because the digital camo pattern hid stains better than the monochrome fatigue outfits.
Will go perfect with my 1/35 .Lufthansa 727-100.
Really nice couple and yes, perfect company to AK’s VW Follow Me bus. Would love to see something in this way for the VW Evis van, too, with guys in wild haircuts and beards as typically seen in YKW pics
