I had the vehicle “before the lens” some years ago. Scratch building is no problem.
I began the turret assembly today. As for the CV9040C I replaced the PE tie-downs by electric wire. As visible on the pictures the turret is not the same shape as the CV9040C one especially at the back of it.
Olivier
The turret is nearly complete. On the last series of pics the radar is not glued yet.
I had to paint 2 vision blocks (will mask them later) as they will be impossible to paint when the radar is in place.
The PE dust cover over the gun mantlet was a pain to shape.
Olivier
It’s paint time!
The basic color is XF-67 NATO Green and the radar radome is painted XF-26 Deep Green. The radar is not glued yet.
Now I have to paint the scarce details before spraying some gloss varnish and applying the markings.
Olivier
Looks nice Olivier, well done … that radome really stands out
Yesterday I applied a coat of gloss varnish so today I can apply the decals. The orange rectangles on the side skirts are sprayed with templates as Hobby Boss have forgotten the decals unlike with the CV 9040C model.

Ready to engage Flankers over the Baltic Sea!
Superb build Olivier, it really looks impressive ---- well done
I started the weathering with the old school techniques: oil dots, pinwash and drybrush, the whole being done with oils.
Olivier
Thats toned the base colours right down. Very nice.
That looks really nice.
looks really good! love the weathering
Hi all
I call this one done. I finished the weathering with some dust and dried earth made from liquid and dry pigments.
Here are the last pictures on this thread.
You can read the full build article at my site.
Modern military modeling

Nicely done Olivier- just the right amount of weathering- it allows the sharp, angular lines of the vehicle to be shown off!
Looks amazing, Oliver!
Great looking kit again
Another great build equalled by a super finish … very nice mate.
