LvKv 90C Hobby Boss

Hi all
here is my newest project, the anti-aircraft variant of the CV 90. 30 have been delivered to the Swedish army. 3 have been upgraded to the C standard which means it has the same package of add-on armor as the CV 90C.
Weirdly enough Hobby Boss decided to issue this rare version.

The main difference from the CV 90 is the large radar on top of the turret. The crew compartment roof has only one single hatch and the rear door is slightly modified.

So far I have assembled the suspension. The tracks are clickable individual links. Hopefully they will work better than those in the CV90C kit.
I would have liked a folded skis rack but it is not designed for that.

Very nice job so far Olivier. The details on that kit look great.

Is there anything better than the initial thrill of opening and starting a new klt? Looks great

Thank you for joining the topic.

Today I managed to assemble one track. As mentioned above they are the clickable links type. While I could click a complete run without any too many links falling apart, the result was not convincing at all. The track looked like a banana and was a bit stiff at some spots. So I decided to glue the links. They are now curing around the sprocket, the idler and the inner roadwheels. I also glued the track to the sprocket and the idler. The assembly is removable and will be painted separately.

Thank you Johnny
I’d rather say easy start. The only tricky pat was gluing the PE tie-downs as the contact surface is really tiny.
For those interested in building any CV90 variant with the ski rack I found it easier to glue the horizontal frames before adding the vertical bars. The instructions call for assembling the whole rack before gluing it to the rear panel.

I am newer to this awesome hobby but i embrace rubber bands. I dont need to prove anything to myself haha. I have had to glue every set I’ve tried so far. I wont spend on a set of tracks that costs more than the model. Thanks for responding

I would like to see other CV90 variants. A Swiss Schützenpanzer 2000 or a Nederland army version would fit in my collection.

That’s looking good.

I concur. When the details on the rubber band tracks are good enough I use them without remorse.

Indy link and link-and-lenght make only sense at an open suspension, e.g. Tiger, Panther and so on…
