First HEMTT’s I ever saw were on Sheridan Kaserne, Augsburg Germany, July 1985. They were super-modern looking then, and I think they belonged to the artillery folks who shared the kaserne with the barracks for the Field Station (MI) I belonged to. They’re still neat looking trucks to this day.

Do you remember if they were 3-tone camo already, or plain forrest green?

Best Regards from Augsburg! I went to Sheridan Kaserne as a teenager to eat Burger (my friend lived right next to the Pfersee gate)

I loved Augsburg; two years in paradise as a teenager was the time of my life. I don’t recall colors but I think they were three color. They parked them by the EM Club or I would never see them; MI wienies like me didn’t go to the Artillery side of the kaserne very much.

And back then you could drink beer at 18 in the club - even stateside.
