According to another website, AMS Paints & Accessories of Glasgow, Scotland, is working on a conversion of this vehicle. Will be interesting to see as it was only ever a drawing board exercise, as far as I can tell.
Ok, that is impressive. Thanks for posting the images.
That looks amazing!
I haven’t heard of this concept. Could you please provide more information as to the genesis of this and what AGDS means? Thanks!
It stands for Air-Ground Defense System and is from a computer game, it is not a rea Abrams version.
Ah, that explains it. Pretty cool though if it was actually real. Thanks!
Looks cool, they should make the cheiftain sabre turret and the falcon turret for the fv433 abbott
It was a study performed for the US Army Armor Center in 1996. The same team designed the FMBT in 1993. So the game is a clone of work done nearly 30 years ago.
Zombie thread question:
What hull did you use for your project? Mine came with a monobloc hull and monobloc running gear. I’m looking to adapt the AGDS turret to a suitable donor, but turret ring (sic) diameter is different on my current “donor”.
TIA
I doubt he’ll answer you. That was our very own Tool Man. A dude with such a nasty disposition he managed to get himself banned from a model building site. Under several different names, no less. Tony Denazo, White4, et al.
I almost got in trouble for posting a photo of his hovel once, but I could sure post some of his neighbors’ hovels.
Kind thanks. Ah well. Onward……
