M1025 based dumvee Tamiya/Legend 1:35

This will be a symbolic farewell to the Tamiya Humvee model. I guess production has ended, the model is not available anywhere. It’s time to get used to the new ICM products. The choice of version is no accident either. When I started playing with Humvees, I always dreamed of the GMV version of the special forces. @kubisz built one using ProArt conversions and I was drooling with envy and admiration. I later built 3 dumvees. Now I want to have fun without any unpleasant surprises. The base will be Tamiya’s M1025. Plus a Legend conversion and a choice of possible extras, of which I have a lot. I am aiming for something like the one in the photo.

I have them all. Bua ha ha ha.

They still abound here on eBay, but people want ridiculous prices for them.

Oh, I will be looking forward to this one. Very interesting reference photos with a lot of stowage and gear… can’t wait to see your magic on another Dumvee.

BTW, I didn’t know Tamiya Humvee is not available anymore… thank you for the heads up, I hope to find some locally.

@Maki - don’t expect fireworks  Your GMV is brilliant

With the seeming ease with which folks are designing new parts these days, I’m surprized no one has given the Revell Snap-Tite Humvee a go as a GMV.

I’m surprised there isn’t any conversation for the Meng 1/24 H1. Just imagine how cool it will look in 1/24 scale.

There are several countries where Hummers are used in the military. Unfortunately, in 1:35 no manufacturer has done it, because it is a civilian vehicle after all, so the standard scale is 1:24

The beginning, like the beginning. The shape of the dumvee can already be seen

After the holiday, I continue with the construction. I have taken the riser after the rear part of the roof from the M1114 Bronco. The kit one was too thick . I also bought an M2 with better detail than the kit and operators.

I consider the load to be 95% complete. Maybe I will add something else small there. Now it’s time to play with the electronics.

I like it Piotr- loaded up but not overly so- the essentials can be reached from the front seats. Nice bits of color too that draw the eye in.

Wow impressive interior.

Interior completed. A little dusting and the roof can be closed. Rear bumper from #Scale23. Highly recommend - great products and very good prices. https://scale23.eu/

I’ve never seen an Igloo come in tan plastic, although I’ve seen plenty of them painted tan, olive green, and black. (they do make a large rectangular one in tan) That said, your tan one (unless it was just painted or indeed is produced in tan) might look more the part with some orange and white scratches.
