This will be a symbolic farewell to the Tamiya Humvee model. I guess production has ended, the model is not available anywhere. It’s time to get used to the new ICM products. The choice of version is no accident either. When I started playing with Humvees, I always dreamed of the GMV version of the special forces. @kubisz built one using ProArt conversions and I was drooling with envy and admiration. I later built 3 dumvees. Now I want to have fun without any unpleasant surprises. The base will be Tamiya’s M1025. Plus a Legend conversion and a choice of possible extras, of which I have a lot. I am aiming for something like the one in the photo.
I have them all. Bua ha ha ha.
They still abound here on eBay, but people want ridiculous prices for them.
Ooooo you!!! Speculative warehouseman
Oh, I will be looking forward to this one. Very interesting reference photos with a lot of stowage and gear… can’t wait to see your magic on another Dumvee.
BTW, I didn’t know Tamiya Humvee is not available anymore… thank you for the heads up, I hope to find some locally.

@Maki - don’t expect fireworks Your GMV is brilliant
With the seeming ease with which folks are designing new parts these days, I’m surprized no one has given the Revell Snap-Tite Humvee a go as a GMV.
I’m surprised there isn’t any conversation for the Meng 1/24 H1. Just imagine how cool it will look in 1/24 scale.
There are several countries where Hummers are used in the military. Unfortunately, in 1:35 no manufacturer has done it, because it is a civilian vehicle after all, so the standard scale is 1:24
After the holiday, I continue with the construction. I have taken the riser after the rear part of the roof from the M1114 Bronco. The kit one was too thick . I also bought an M2 with better detail than the kit and operators.
Looking good.
Can’t wait to the see the finished kit! This is looking awesome!
