Hasn’t a Trumpeter M777 been rumored for ages? I remember when trumpeter released the M198 there were already rumors that the triple 7 was next t be done.
Im not sure if id be interested in the M777 never really had a interest in towed Artillery
I don’t recall them announcing one. It would be awesome and most welcomed though.
Not just the price, but I have not gone more than 10% into the build of the 777. The “instructions” left me hanging as to parts and their placement, and while looking at what I did have, it sure seemed that some parts were missing. This was one of the first production runs. My messages to Vargas regarding both parts and placement have gone unanswered, so the box remains on the shelf.
I already built one. It took a bit of extra research due to the lacking instructions, as you mentioned. Hopefully the second one will go easier.
Another great job.
Thanks Ralph.
I got some paint and details on the cab interior. I painted it overall NATO Green. I used Quinta 3D printed decals for the IP and dash. I also added the SINCGARS radio, J-boxes, Intercom Control box, handsets, speaker box, and an interior light to the front wall. I added all the wiring for the radios as well.
I added a couple backpacks and an AKS-74 as well to give it a little life.
Lastly, here are the insides of the doors.
Next up is some weathering and to close it all up. After that, painting the exterior will start.
Got the camera on my phone fixed as well, so no more cloudiness from a cracked lens.
I have finished initial assembly, painting, and decals on the truck. I painted it in NATO camo with the green canvas like above.
On the front, I used the Keltek mouth decal from their M142 sheet. I hand painted the cats’ eyes. I also added a Ukraine Army ID number and a slogan that came with some other Ukraine decals. The slogan had a 79 ABN BDE patch on it. I covered it with the 43d Arty BDE patch from the ICM Weapons and Chevrons of Ukraine set. I also added the same slogan w/43d Arty BDE patch on the rear.
The spare on the roof is for the M777A2 howitzer. I got it from Vargas Miniatures for this project.
Some more detail pics of the truck.
I have also started the 3D printed M777A2 by Vargas Miniatures. It is only about 30 parts and goes together well. The detail is amazing. I did break off a couple parts that I had to recreate though. You can see them in white styrene. I also removed the TAD Digital Fire Control system box on top and made a new mount from styrene. Ukraine initially didn’t get M777s with the TAD, which allows you to fire smart munitions such as Excaliber. They have since received them, but I wanted to do it as an early one. I also added rear lights to the howitzer. I will be adding the air hoses and light cable after painting it.
Here it is so far.
More to come later. Thanks for checking it out and commenting.

Thanks Jack and Terry. It has been fun so far. I had today off to sit here while the tech fixes my A/C. Got some more done on the M777. Moe pics soon.
Looks really great and unique, Gino. The smooth airbrushed finish of the green interior paint really shows. I really like all the doo-dads you added with your 3D printer as it looks like it’s really working out for you. Great effort and great job!
Thanks Peter. I have been printing up a storm lately and getting full use out of my 3D printer. I love it.
