I always wondered if its possible to recreate the Harris Loop Antenna in scale. Maybe some of the 3D printing guys have a solution?

Nice update HH, and like you say, once it’s all together you’ll hardly see any of the inside. I knocked up one of those antennas… Took 5 minutes and although rough, you get the idea… I know you’d said you’d do the same sort of thing, but it was super easy… Used a superglue pot for the oval and that’s the unbent wire on front. Best I’ve seen yet, although I’d still opt for soldering small strips of flat brass between the loops.

Forgot about that !! yeah, it could easily be refined, I also have thinner plastic strip now which I would of sat in between the wires and not on top for a better effect. Brass and solder would defo help with strength and keeping it more rigid.

I’d use fine brass wire and small brass strip, and soldering would be the optimum assembly method. I can’t solder that small, though! I’ll put one together using brass and black CA glue.

I think you would definitly use a jig to get both loops right. Bigger problem maybe how to handle it after finishing without braking.
