Something that I have noticed is that on many models of the M113 (particularly in small scale),
the driver’s periscope housing (on the outer face of the hatch) is represented as a hollow section,
with a direct space between the front and back. Is this an error, or was the actual periscope not
always installed?

This is not an ordinary periscope but the drivers night vision device.

HermannB, I never realised that. So, can it be removed, so leaving an empty space?
