Not much done today, but I really enjoyed doing the M1127,M1130,M1131,M1133 and M1134, so I was eager to start this one.

I’ve got that one about 3/4 built; but started getting bored with it so I boxed it all up and put it back on the shelf. I’ll get back to it one of these days!

its a shame they got the underneath wrong on the Stryker kits as it also carried over into the LAVIII kits, the steering arms are too long and the pivot points are in the wrong place as you can see on the AFV Club version that is more correct.
this is the problem it caused when i realigned it to turn the wheels

A year ago I saw a Stryker like this at the train station in Bavaria. Unfortunately, pictures are only from one side.

Model companies don’t always expend a great deal of effort on the underside of vehicles. One, they’re not seen nearly as much, and two, it’s harder to get reference photos from those areas. AFV Club got my original photos in 2007 I took in 2006 at the facility at JBLM. That may explain why theirs is better underneath. Also in 2007, Trumpeter released sprue shots of their M1117 which had a totally ficticious underside - not even close. I had one parked not too far from my hooch, so I sent them underside photos and they fixed it in time.
