M1278 JLTV. I love Kit 1/35

I thought that the bottom of the JLTV had a V-Hull design similar to the MRAPs. Instead, it appears more flat-bottom like a HMMWV. Is that accurate? Of does the “black” cover up the true hull shape?

Neither, it is a curved piece of armor.

Interesting. I just photographed a bunch of 10th Group JLTV’s here at Carson no more than an hour ago - and.no belly armor. All of the ones I’ve photographed up until now had it.

Some nice additions to the collection at any rate.

Is there a name for that new paint or FS number?

Painted with base colors. I insisted on the USMC version, but there should be high exhaust (as in the USMC humvee). Unfortunately, the model does not have this option. It’s hard - I’m waiting for RFM
