M151 TOW Jeep - reload carrier vehicle conversion?

Is there an aftermarket conversion available to create the TOW reload jeep that accompanied the launcher vehicle?

I can probably scratchbuild the frame/carrier unit but wanted to know if a commercial option existed before i go that route.

For clarity, I am not interested in The IDF Orev reload configuration (Legends do the Orev version) as this is different from the standard type seen in US service (TM images below).

As far as I know it’s time to bust out the stock of Evergreen.
Interesting that they did not remove the rear seat.

I have many extra if you need them, John. Just say the word and I’ll send them to you.

Thanks all for the responses.

Thanks also for the offer of the extra TOW tubes, but I already have enough spares to take out a tank company or two, so that won’t be a problem

Yes - I was surprised about the rear seat being left in place, but it does suggest that the stowage frame was transferrable to any suitable vehicle. Toadman did a walkround of both this and the TOW jeep, so I have good photo refs as well as extracts from the TM. Toadman’s subject vehicle has a radio shelf in place of the front passenger seat. which isn’t something I’ve seen before and is probably a later service addition.

The best builds start with the best references. It looks like the Toadman has hooked you up!
Are you doing an A1 or an A2?

I have a yen to build an A2 in Marine markings, finished in the arctic MERDC scheme seen during Ex. Anchor Express in March 1986. You rarely see the launcher and reload vehicles modelled together so that is sort of where I’m at.

That’s also a region that doesn’t get modeled often. Interestingly enough, I just ordered this set two days ago just for the PPSH-41’s. I wonder how well they’d convert to US? The boots look like they could pass for Mickey Mouse boots. Throw on some goggles…

A vehicle being driven without NCO supervision?! :skull_and_crossbones:

Any activity beginning with, “Hey Sarge, watch this!” will end very badly.

Hmmmm…. A vehicle without a gun/missile has no appeal for the manufacturers?

Not so. You’ll see.

Some years ago, I went this route when looking for a suitable figure (near enough is good enough in my eyes).

nice.
