Thx for expanding on that HeavyArty, was wondering the same but forgot to ask. Makes sense, was wondering though on the rollers, is that’s field replacement done by crews or depot swap out in the rear? I ask cause I havnt seen any pic’s w an MBT w extra rollers on the rear deck etc vs seeing tanks w extra tracks and roadwheels stowed at various spots. Guessing it’s a safe assumption that replacing those is not done in the field/on the spot?
I have never seen it done, but am guessing it is at least done at GS-level (at BDE) maintenance, not all the way back at depot-level.
