M1A1 Tamiya

Good night. I want to build an abrams in the mid to late 80’s in Germany. The tamiya U.S. ref would work for me. M1A1 Abrams
with Mine Plow? I’ve searched the internet and haven’t found any photos.
Thank you so much

That would do as a late '80s tank in Germany. However, Tamiya is not the best Abrams kit available. I recommend you go with either a Meng or Rye Field Abrams instead.

Thank you Gino for your kindness. Name Tamiya because it is a simple kit. I want to assemble something quickly and with a good fit and that doesn’t have many parts.

If you want a simple kit, then the Tamiya will work for you. It’s not a bad kit, just older and not as detailed as newer ones are.
The mine plow is an add on kit that can be mounted to any Abrams tank with a little prep work in about 30-60 minutes. Because of their size and weight, they were usually not fitted in Germany. Too much chance of running into or over something.

Agreed. The Ryefield M1A1 will serve you best.

The Tamiya kit is bad; just to simplified, because of its age (1992).

I built it and it a nice kit, but RFM and Meng are much more detailed.
