M1A2 SEP V3 (Australian)

Each to their own, I guess. The molded-on parts make sense why it wouldn’t be a good base. Can’t see what details are soft or oversize. TBH I held off on the Rye kit for similar reasons, Voiio looked more accurate and sharply molded. But probably not so good for converting.

What is Australia adding to the basic M1A2 SEP v3? I image the umbrella mount and see the cooler box in the turret bustle like earlier versions. Anything else?

For my Aussie SEP V.3 i built the the kit straight out of the box and added the fridge and umbrella mount from black ops dragon M1a1 comversion

The umbrella mount on our SEP v3 is from the US TUSK kit, which is different from the ones from the M1A1s.

Antenna base extensionss:

A different shroud for the tow cables:

The shroud for the turret external power patch panel near the crosswind sensor differs to allow for the fridge lid to open.

Then there’s components from the Trophy A kit. These are just bits that are added when the actual Trophy B kit are fitted:

These are reinforcements to the TUSK 2 mounting points & a lifted platform for the .50 Cal ammunition.

The cable shroud from the gunner’s primary sight/CROWS-LP to the BFT box differs on the A kit modded tanks, be they Australian, Polish, or USian.

Pretty much what Greg has posted along with a few corrections/enhancements to kit parts.

Alright; this one has piqued my interest. I would not hesitate to add an Aussie Abrams to my stable.
