OK where can I find the new tracks and sprockets that will fit the Meng M2A3…
Don’t know if they will fit the Meng, but these are made to fit the Academy/Tamiya M2. Comes with the updated drive sprocket and rear idler. He also offers a full 3D printed suspension system upgrade for the Tamiya Bradley.
Contact the seller, Jacques Duquet. He has the T161 tracks for the Meng kit as well. He made me a set.
The tracks sprockets and final drive parts from the Kenetic M3A3 will fit the meng kit
Gino sent me a Meng M3A3 kit. Will be here next week. It comes with the double block track. I am also getting the single block track that I plan on using. If all the parts are there and the single block track is good to go, I can send you the double block track and sproket.
The Meng single block T157I “Bigfoot” tracks and sprocket parts are still in the box too.
yea I have one from him coming tomorrow…Thanks for the Heads UP…
Hello All, I finally set up a new Armorama account. I was just Jacques back on the old forum.
As for the T-161 tracks, yes I designed them and am printing them. I based the design on my own measurements.
I also did much of the M2 Bradley suspension to get the Tamiya M2A2 ODS kit up to snuff. And I just kept on going…and going…and going. So I did the roadwheels, and the return rollers, and the shock absorbers, and the Final Drive housing in proper orientation, and the idler mount in MUCH better detail, and the idler, and the sprocket. Yeah, I’m a glutton for punishment. I think it makes the Tamiya kit look a LOT better.
What makes these tracks much better then what has been offered from the Panda M109A7 kit (indy metal T-161 tracks), the Kinetic M3A3 kit, or the Magic Factory M2A2ODS-SA kits is that these tracks are slightly, but noticeably, larger in the footpad area, the detail is more pronounced, AND the guidehorns are hollow (probably the most noticable detail).
I have modified these T-161 tracks for the MENG and Model Factory kits as well, with only needed parts included.
All this stuff is available for sale on eBay under my SAAMMODELS store.
Sorry this all sounds like a sales pitch, just trying to get the info out efficiently.
