Hello gents,
I am starting to model an M3 Scout Car mounting the M6 37mm anti-tank gun.
On searching the net, I have found apparently 2 types of mounting for the gun onto the Scout car chassis. One is the same with the Dodge WC
56 GMC, which was a multi-metal plates cross contraption with a box like structure supporting & elevating it to clear the body.
The other was a straight forward pintle mount on a strong pole, onto a traverse beam across the car body, just behind the driver compartment. The pole pintle mount appeared to be supported by 2 thin metal beams branching out to each side.
The first type is illustrated with Military Scale upgrade set.
The second type is a photo found on the net.
I am not sure which mount i should be modeling.
Any comments or advise would be much appreciated.
