M48 IDF question

Hello everyone. I hope you can help me with this question. Did the idf use m48 tanks painted green? If so, what estimated color would it be? And which model tank was it? m48a1, a2 etc.? Thanks in advance

the IDF had small hatch M48 that they got from Jordan and M48A1 that they got from the US. The first batch of M48A1 was painted in the US Army olive color but they were soon painted in the Israeli desert color. Technically you can do an olive drab M48A1 with IDF plates and stencils.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Could I use this model then?

Of course. It would benefit from a mantlet and some phototetch but OOB it is decent.

Thanks again. Other question. Is it posible to build that model as an idf tank ( as a captured jordanian one)

For a Jordanian one you need a small driver’s hatch and to backdate some features:

You can also use a Chrysler cupola instead of the kit supplied one

Beautiful. That is my idea. I thought that the tank painted green was the m48a2c.
According to this reference

I built this one

I would not go for an olive drab A2, especially with the markings indicated by the paint guide. It is possible though but not with this style of markings

Looks good, the sand color could be a bit more yellowish.
