Hi guys,
Does anyone make the above, especially a diesel version as in sent to Russia.
Cheers
Mike
Scalemates doesn’t show any existing M4A2 kits with interior… Though, there are some individual aftermarket interior parts for the M4A2 like the engine and other parts, like this and this
I suppose you can get a different M4 variant with interior, and swap out the necessary parts? Or if you’re willing to spend even more money, get an M4A2 kit, then an interior kit of a different variant, and then the individual parts, and mix and match as needed, that way you at least don’t need to buy aftermarket engine deck and conversions for the hull…
The only thing that really separates an M4A3 and M4A2 is the engine deck and rear, you could kit bash one.
I agree with @Thechaffetank that kitbashing is probably the way to go if you want an M4A2 with interior. You could build an M4A2 (76 mm) fairly well from an M4A3 (76 mm) interior kit plus an M4A2 engine deck and hull rear, though you would need to make a replacement instrument panel at the driver’s position as well as alter the firewall between the crew and engine compartments. However, 75 mm M4A3s with interior are thin on the ground. Especially if you want an M4A2 (75 mm) with appliqué armour plates, most of the interior from a 76 mm kit would be of little use.
Don’t bother with the Zvezda M4A2 (75 mm) VVSS, BTW: its only redeeming feature is the tracks, really, assuming you like link-and-length ones. (And they’re on back-to-front, but for a Soviet tank I suppose this might have been less uncommon than on an American one.)
