M4A2 Sherman III Dozer

Hi folks,it’s been a while since I built a Sherman. Thought I’d have a go at a Dozer. Used the Resicast Kit and the Dragon Sherman III. Just the tracks to sort out before putting it all together.

Hi folks,
A bit of an update on the Dozer. This is as far as I’ve got. I was going to add indi tracks but then thought it might look better with duckbills so in the interim I’ve added the kit tracks. Anyone ever find a glue that works? I stapled them for now.

Weathering and more detail to
do plus a few figures for scale. I’d forgotten how much there is to think about building a Sherman!

Anyway here’s how it looks at the moment.

Hi very nice looking. The small road and side walk area. Did you make that ? The cobblestone street/road is that something else you made ? Thanks Mike.

By this point I just have to ask: Are you a bot that visits this forum every week or so to reply the same thing to every thread?

Hi Jakko… I’m not a BOT. I’m complimenting fellow modelers for building their models and to encourage the them.
I had a bad accident at work 15 years ago and have not touched modeling since then. I have tried over the years and its difficult to do.
I have complimented your models as well over the years.
You can check the forum for some of the models that I have built and that’s not all of the models that I have built.

@mech Using the “like” button is a better way to show your appreciation. It is faster for you and doesn’t clog up our feeds. The system also highlights topics and posts based on the number of likes.

Ok. Thank you. I did not know.

I actually disagree with this. I think the “click the like button” feature makes for a less interactive forum. It reduces the interaction between members and providing feedback, asking questions, and discussion. I would rather a few words as opposed to simply clicking “Like”. Simply posting the same few words to every post isn’t helpful either.

Oh, that’s not good to hear :frowning: I hope you’re otherwise as well as you can be?

In any case, my comment was meant as a friendly joke, because of the way you appear every so often and post a very basic “good work” message to just about every active thread, but don’t say much else

Whereas I agree with @taylorrl  Clicking the Empty heart to make it Full heart is IMHO a much better way to express appreciation if you don’t have any actual comments to make. For one thing, it doesn’t clutter up the list of recent posts with threads that only have a “well done” message posted in them.

Hi folks, This is how things stand at the moment. Another vehicle for my 2nd Bn IG Armoured column  . That’s what started all this in the first place! As best I can tell there were no Sherman Dozers used by the British on D Day. Only 100 kits had arrived from America by D Day and those went to the Americans. However, they were rolled out pretty quickly to the Britis as well shortly after.
