Great looking gun trucks, love the idea of all those ammo cans on the floor!
Fantastic detailing and excellent paint job Gino!
Thank you, gentlemen. I wanted to keep it lightly weathered and an in-use look. I am very hapy with how it turned out.
Outstanding job, Gino. It was refreshing to see a lightly weathered guntruck indicative of convoy escort on mostly paved roads.
Thanks James. I try to keep them as realistic as possible.

Very nice finish. I also look forward to seeing those M54 builds as well.

I’ll be following all of them. And possibly doing one. I have a memory of a guntruck based on the dumper. Invader?? Maybe the newborn from AFV is the proper one to do it. I will search. In the mean time I’ll stick to your pics.
Thanks gents. I too like how it came out.
Thanks Stefano. Glad to have you along for the ride.
Exactly on both accounts. The AFV Club M51A2 is the perfect kit to use for the “Invader II” gun truck. I have an M51 on its way to me now, but other plans for it.
Beautifully finished and I remember your Cobra build. They look great side by side.
Cheers,
Ralph
Thanks Ralph. Glad you like them.
what a pleasure to see nice models of a so much interresting subject!!!
Gino since your thread i looks my four M54 kits with another eye!!!
Thanks for the pics.
Thanks Stephane. Glad that you were inspired and hope you do a gun truck and show it here as well.
A great finish Gino! Not a complaint, but a query, as mentioned earlier the kit has the later hinged sides and I was wondering if any of our CAD artists had considered printing a set of the earlier style sides? Anyway, great looking trucks! Wayne
Thanks Wayne. No idea on the bed sides being done by 3D printing. I have asked in James Lee’s 3D Printing thread though.
Hello,
As with any potential CAD projects, need high definition reference photos (more than 5) and dimensions (w × l × h). The corresponding AFV Club parts reference is a must, too.
Without them, it’s not possible to estimate. Serious inquiries only. My time is as valuable as yours. Personally, soft skins are not my high interest FYI so if it’s too complicated to CAD, sorry, I will pass.
Yeah, i was just looking thru one of my gun truck books and most of them seem to have the earlier sides. Wouldn’t seem to complicated to do, but then I’m not up on that skill. Wayne
Just joined a VN Armor modellers group on Facebook and there is a Smooze Customs that is working on a conversion set. Posts are a Richard Seydoux.
