At one of the recent model shows AFV Club had an M577 on display and if it is as good as their current batch it should be a great kit
Interesting. I can’t find any pics or other reference to a new M577 from AFV Club. Do you have anything else on it?
The kit you mentioned isn’t from AFV Club, it’s a 1/56 scale vehicle from a different company, I thought it was AFV Club too at first. The angle of the photo was misleading.
Gino,
It was a 1/56 scale kit from somebody else. I thought the same thing at first, all AFV had in 1/35 was the M107 and the updated M1128, IIRC.
Doc
That’s an odd scale!
Ken
I am assuming this kit is 1//35 as they have released at least five 1/35 M113 variants thus far and nothing in any other scale however happy to be corrected but I hope it is 1/35. AFV Club don’t do 1/56. Picture below purports to be from the 2023 Shizuoka Hobby Show if google translate can be trusted
It’s not, compare it to the other kits directly around it, quite smaller
M577 hull length: 4.94 metres or 194.5 inches
M107/M110/M110A2 hull length: 5.72 metres or 225.2 inches
The SP-gun is 16% longer than the M577.
The length difference in the picture gives me the impression of being a lot more than 16%
Edit: Found it.

Thanks for finding that, I couldn’t remember the name of the company, I’d just taken note of the scale knew from the posts on social media.
Looks like AFV Club is stepping their M113 game up a bit. It seems that Tamiya is the only game in town for the M106 and M577 kits, until now. They should offer the modernized versions (M1064A3 & M1068A3).
I mean for a full styrene kit. Not just for a conversion kit.
If the HL M106 conversion kit is anything like my M108 rotater, I’d be happy to build it.
Looking at Gino’s M577 build, I wonder how he got the floor that salmon pink shade?
Maybe a wash of some kind?
I don’t see pink, so it must be the coloring on your screen. It was a basecoat of aluminum and then a couple of different dirty brown washes followed by a drybrushing of a dirt color.
Excellent Gino, thanks for the info.
Hey Gino, where did you get the second (right side) fuel tank for this build?
My Academy M113 just has the one internal tank.
Hi all,
I want to build an M577 but need the instructions for the Legend M577 detail set.
Can anyone help out with this?
TIA
Denis
Thanks a bunch Petbat!
