Never seen tanks being used for avalanche control, but 105mm howitzers have been used for years. Basically, the same effect.

Any photos of the “new” tank and markings? I do recall during OIF the Army took some arty back for a time.

According to the PDF document, they used HEP-T ammunition (M393 series I guess…)
