M60A1 RISE Passive FRG

OK, I got a request for this, so here it is. This was originally built over the fall/winter of 1981/2 using the old Tamiya kit from the 1970s. It represents the tank I drove in 1981, an M60A1 RISE Passive of 2/64 Armor, 3rd Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. The guy in the driver’s hatch is me.

That looks great!

Wow very cool. I don’t have any of my models from that time period I wish I would have kept some. I shot them up with a BB gun in my back yard one day in the early 90s. Pretty stupid

Looks nice. I really like the BCGs on the TC and driver. Very realistic.

Lol yeah I didn’t even notice those ! I had em too ugh!

Yep, BB gun, .22lr, and firecrackers. Still do the firecrackers occasionally.

I like it! What did you use for the crew figures?

Very nice Ken, very nice indeed.

They are a mix from the parts box. he TC is a WWII Tank commander for the coveralls. The loader is a Tamiya M1/M2/M3 figure, for the green fatigues, the arms are whatever worked, and I think the heads are Hornet.

Nicely done with the Frankenstein work. Thanks for letting me know which figures that you used to start with.
