Which references did you use to create the data?

Without any drawings
Only the dimensions that are given on the Internet

I am an artist, a designer of 3D graphics, I can create any complexity of equipment and without having references, and work only with dimensions and start from proportions and calculate the distance and thickness

Obviously neither yours nor mine. I’ve briefly examined just two small areas and found both wanting. I don’t think there’s much of a point in going any further.
It’s a very noble effort, but still missing many details, and proportions and angles are incorrect in others.
The first small area I looked at was the hinge portion of the trails, which is missing a lot of detail.
Then I looked at this area:

And compared with a photo of my time on the Trip 7.

One more for good measure - this needs correcting as well:

Too many inaccuracies in such a small space, so there’s no point in spending time on the whole thing. Overall it looks quite like an M777, and there’s no doubt a lot of work went into it. But this is our second foray into the 3D M777, and I’m still going to wait. This one at least appears better than the Vargas one at first glance.

My purpose here is not to bash this offering, which is quite good. I just think that with the resources available, we could get better.

Even if I spend a month on creating and remaking this model, it won’t be bought many times anyway
maximum 10 pieces and that will be within half a year!

For such detailing I will set a very high price for 1/72 it will be 50 euros
for 1/35 130 euros

and so the price is low in 1/35 60 euros

as I already said there are no drawings and no dimensions

The model was made almost exclusively from a photo and nothing more

If you have more high-quality and detailed photos, can you send them to my email?

I would be grateful to you

Thank you Best Regards YK3D

Done.
Check your email for a wetransfer.com download.

Thanks for the photo.
But without dimensions it will still not be easy to make that lower part and some other things

The lower part of the howitzer has a complex shape and this complicates the work

I’m looking for the dimensions. I usually add them to the photos, but for this they’re in a notebook I carried with me. I just have to find it. Unfortunately I had many such notebooks. However, look at the load data plate. You can enlarge it, and divide into equal portions. Twenty four perhaps? This will give you a very good approximation of most of the components. If you convert the inches to millimeters you can get almost exact dimensions of all of the larger components.

Hi Rob, like mentioned before, I gave my references to Trumpeter back in 2012. At that time, I had a drawing from Vickers Shipbuilding, that was the most correct reference. Unfortunatly, lost the drawing in a computer crash. :frowning:

They had mine too! As well as lots of other useful stuff. Although I think they finally bit on the LET, long after the time needed to actually thank me for helping.
By the way, last year I often mentioned not having all of my references due my external hard drive going Tango Uniform. Best Buy wanted $1450 to fix it, but I had it done for free, and transferred to a new drive. However, not everything is where I can find it, and my method of cataloging my references was not always the most intuitive. At any rate, a have another M777 walk around in addition to the one I sent, but I’m at the gym now. Never skip leg day.

here is a pic for you i took at JBMDL’s airshow on sunday

Nice. Definitely high angle fire.

the only bad thing about models of the M114 the old 155, M198,M777 and M119 you need a prime mover and the shelf space to display them

Exactly.
