M8 sonderwagen

RLM 71 Schwarzgrün is the best body color. A friend of mine mamaged to get a can of real BGS gloss green from the then BGS Barracks near my hometown. He was building a SW3 Saladin in resin.

Keep your mind clean, young padawan. Don´t let the dark side grab you.

Too late! Too late!

I look forward for the result.

This is the current Sonderwagen 4, with a dozer for anti-riot operations.

Since it´s based on the Unimog truck, I may be use RoG Dingo suspension parts.

Looking very good; what did you use?

Just in case Bundesgrenzschutz fans are unaware, TL Modellbau do a very useful decals sheet for said organisation:

The number plates will need modifying a tad for the earlier vehicles.

Their site is well worth a look:

Hi Brian,
great find. but I wonder how to use decals in 1/35 scale with no model kits of BGS vehicles.

I can only assume there’s a market somewhere: M8 as discussed, Saladin, perhaps the AK Land Rover converted to the Tempo version?

I have no idea, but assume TL-Modellbau know what they’re doing.

TL Decals probably just “up-scaled” their HO gauge set.
If you´re interested, here you can find lots of informations about BGS vehicles.

The book says that the cannon is a HS 804,

This might give an idea about the mounting.

Excellent craftmanship.
