M806a1

Hi guys,

I wondered if the M806a1 ARVL was ever used by the US Army.
I can’t find any conclusive answer om the Net.

No. Apparently, they were only fielded by Australia and Canada.

Okay, thanks Gino !

The Dutch had it too but with some floatation cells. YPR-806.

It also had YPR 765 automotive components, such as the suspension, but that is hardly or not at all visible on a model.

Also:

Not my model, but one being designed for commercial sale:

Also operated by New Zealand. The data plates on our ARVL were actually marked XM806A1,

Howdy folks,

where can I get the interior parts with the HIAB crane! I had build the TrackJam M806A1 as a Canadian vehicle of the 4th CMBG in Germany many moons ago. It’ s agreat little model. It was fun to build. The Canadians didn’t have the HIAB crane, as the used the M579A1 Fitter Repair Vehicle too.

Sully’s Mini Models does a conversion that says it has a full interior to include the Haib Crane internals.

Available at his wesite: M806 ARVL / M579 Fitter | syllys-mini-models (syllysminimodels.nl)

If you are looking for just the external Hiab crane and its internal parts, Academy’s IDF M113 Fitter has the crane and some very basic interior parts.
