Here’s a teaser: Conan, Red Sonja, a huge treasure, a giant snake, overgrown temple ruins, and a lot of bones/skeletons, in a swamp. All in 1/35 / 50mm scale.
That does not surprise me. My first impression was that it looks like a fantasy base.
My stockpile includes a lot of old 25mm fantasy stuff. I plan to sell the lot and try some 1/35 scale fantasy figures. If my skill ever improves enough to make the effort feasible, I will try 1/12 scale fantasy figures.
Totally different base. This one’s 8"~9" diameter, and is fairly flat.
Thank you all for the responses and for the suggestions - good to know if there is an alternative, more imporantly, cheaper version of something. Too often companies re-package something already existing, for a higher price, and selling it as something unique…
Well, thank you all for your help; I finished my first ever ocean diorama.
Excellent results!
I wish my first attempts came out this good!
About the white foam; again, a cheap substitute is mixing Woodland Scenics “snow” with the acrylic gel. It’s probably just the same as the product you used.
