Joel, you have what money canāt buy, that is experience. In addition to enjoying your builds, it is your experience that many have come to appreciate. Maybe you no longer play in the game, however your coaching will have years left. Stick with us, we all benefit.

Thanks guys for the much needed support, as itās greatly appreciated.
Honestly, at this point Iām just hoping that they can come up with a few pairs of bi-focals that will allow me to actually build, and paint as well as see clear enough to drive safely. I do miss seeing straight lines, and colors that are close to what they really are. Last time they tried and what I ended up with didnāt work.
At least the appointment is next Thursday, so Iāll know sooner then later. Just donāt want to go through the needles to drain fluid pockets and seal what they call leakers again.

Read your post yesterday but didnāt have time enough to answer, Joel.
I can only second what Russell, Damian and the others said. That is really a sad, sad news, but maybe you give yourself some time to step back a little and enjoy your other hobbies. As far as I know you also like photography a lot. Hopefully that gives you pleasure while not building. And if you think, the time is right, then try again to build a model. In the meantime youāre always welcome here among us.
Hopefully your appointment next week will improve your eyesight a little better. Donāt loose faith!

Torsten,
Iāll be around for sure.
What Iām hoping for is that they can find lenses for the 3 pairs of glasses I need that will allow me to drive safely as I canāt read any of the roads signs until Iām right in front of them. Stop straight lines from becoming wavy lines. That makes gluing, decaling, detail painting, and even air brushing a nightmare at times with a ton of mistakes. and the worst now is blue gray faces and details until my eyes adjust to room light takes forever if then. Iāll gladly settle for that.
Like I said, thereās no cure, or containment, so glasses that work, and Cataract surgery in the left eye hopefully that will solve the double vision. Past that itās just wait and hope, which Iāve been doing for more then 7 years.
