Hats off Jim … thats a corker … top marks all round mate … The Caunter is lovely … great neat lines, but that weathering … wow … perfect dusting, chipping all over it. the wooden crate and the blue and red boxes/drums add a nice visual aspect as well. Superb.
Very nice build and paint overall. Especially like the way you weathered the red and blue containers
Jim, just perfect. The Rolls Royce armored car is a class act and you’ve certainly done it justice. That Caunter is outstanding. Your weathering is excellent - that chipping is just right. Those colored boxes and cans add splashes of life to an already busy scheme - I would have never thought of that. Superb model.
Don’t change a thing. Pure artistry.
Thank you so very much gentlemen. I really do appreciate your support and positive encouragement @Johnnych01 @KoSprueone @SSGToms @Invader. I’ve had this one on my mind since I fist saw the kit and it’s kinda surreal to have it completed and in the cabinet now!
Have the Gecko Katy ambulance which will be getting the Caunter treatment at some point, but that will be a few builds in the future!
Oh, and the kit does sit nicely level on all four wheels, it’s the card background that’s wonky.
A very fine piece of work there Jim! The way the scheme seems to elongate and slim the profile of the RR is fascinating to look at. The weathering is, as others mentioned, finely considered and brings a touch of ‘well used’ character- the work around the top of the hood really caught my eye.
Absolutely beautiful job. The camo is perfect
Thank you very much Karl @Karl187 and Robert @Robert_Goldman. The appreciation of the weathering is particularly pleasing!
Absolutely stunning work Jim!
In one of the books he mentioned that the Bedouin would sometimes go over a dune to satisfy that urge but it wasn’t a problem for him. In the desert there aren’t pillows to bite just sand.
Thanks Richard, very kind of you!
Beautifully done.
Thanks Albert, much appreciated!
