IDF anti slip has always looked coarse to me; I think yours looks fine.

Hi Oliver, kit look good, if you are concerned about coarseness just paint one of the fenders and see if you like the effect if not then much easier to strip.

I haven’t updated the thread lately however I did some progress.
First I applied the base color which is AK Sinai Grey 82. I still have some touch-ups to do.
Then I assembled the tracks which was a real pain. The vinyle bands are too short so they exert too much tension both to the sprockets and idlers which regularly popped out of their location. So I decided not the glue the tracks ends together but instead to set the tracks around the sprockets and idlers and glue them with CA glue to the return rollers. But the CA glue would not glue the tracks to the rollers. Finally I used some metal wire to make loops and twisted their ends to get the proper tension so the tracks fit.

More pictures of the Merkava with the markings and nearly all the details painted. I have added the little chains which retain the tow cables. They are not painted yet. I don’t know if they are painted Sinai Grey or are bare metal.
